Dear Love, I Hate You is the first book in the Easton High Series by Eliah Greenwood.
SYNOPSIS:
It all started with an anonymous letter.
He wasn’t supposed to find it—no one was. And he definitely wasn’t supposed to answer it.
We end up talking through letters and sticky notes in a book. One sticky note. Two sticky notes. Ten sticky notes. All baring our darkest, deepest secrets.
It’s all fun and games until I find out who my pen pal is...
Xavier Emery. King of my basketball-obsessed town, my childhood bully, and the guy I am in grave danger of falling in love with.
But the rules were clear: we can never know who we’re talking to, and the confessions can never, ever get out. Seriously. It would destroy lives.
Fine by me. Even if Mr. Popular does find out his confidant is little old me, it’s not like he’d ever love me back…
Right?
RATING: ★★★★/★★★★★
REVIEW:
This was a really great book, I enjoyed it a lot and the thing i loved the most about this book was the situations the characters were put in and how they handle them, i totally loved one fourth of this book but towards the end, the final few chapters i would say i liked it and not loved it because i still find it a bit hard to wrap whatever happened around my brain.
The characters have dark secrets and while conveying those secrets to someone who is a stranger is a great risk but both of them found a place with each other where there were no judjements no matter how dirty their secrets were. I loved how both of their relationship was built betweeen confessions and texts.....it felt wonderful witnessing the journey but ofcourse everything went downhill at a point and i'm still annoyed with Xavier for what he did but sure it is a happy ending.
I loved Xavier and Aveena as a couple, and their interactions behind letters and texts were entertaining also the sexual tension between them was just lit. I just love both of them a lott.
When it comes to the oher characters Dia who is Aveena's bestfriend .....I don't know...I didn't like the way she treated Aveena for a while and i don't like her that much though she seemed to realise that she was at wrong. Hate Aveena's mom though there was some kind of redemption to her character and her sister was alight, after learning how Aveena felt i liked the bond between Aveena and Ashley.
I love this book mainly beacuse some situations felt really relatable and the drama that took place was just right, there was no unnecessary drama at certain places which i really appreciate a lot.
I enjoyed this book, hope you enjoy it too, thanks for reading!!!
